Dance as an Ecsatic & Healing Art Form
private dance classes & workshops in Mill Valley, CA with Lisa Alpine

Read about Lisa's teaching in the Marin Independant Journal feature, Dancer, Heal Thyself.

Dance is an ecstatic healing art form for a multitude of reasons. Through dance you develop the ability to unlock energy pathways and direct vitality to where your body needs attention.

Dance is also an expressive art form you create from your core. Use your body to paint feelings, your muscles to sculpt movement, and your senses to translate music.

Each class & workshop with Lisa incorporates a special theme and is formatted to include a guided deep stretch followed by plenty of free-form and guided dance time to a wide variety of music. The dancers end with a restful meditation.

There is a higher level of artistry in my dance that has developed since I began coming to your dance classes. - J.D.

Thank you so much for the dance opportunity last night I felt invigorated (tho tired) later, and today I am so uplifted and joyful. I really appreciate your place and the guidance that you have provided me to express so freely! I know that I need to and CAN continue to tap into my true direction in life. Hurrah! ~ L. Cooksey

The weekend workshops and retreats have been amazing. The depth that they do probe and then the things that transpire afterwards....... you are a master. - C.B. 7/08

All photo are taking by Lisa Alpine (except with the jack fruit on the Big Island, dancing at Burning Man and me (upside down) in flight with Ken Martini). The Poetry In Motion photo is by Hunter Boucher. Dancers are all Lisa's students: Audette Sophia is fan dancing at Burning Man; Alisha Braun & Eric Durphy are doing Sculptural Movement; Ed Challberg & Patty Earl are experimenting with Contact Improv as Ken Martini and I are in the black & white taken by ken's wife, Denise.
